Over the coming year we’ll post a series of blogs here to keep up with our wandering.
Trying to start something new is naturally filled with uncertainty. It’s a rollercoaster that as mature producers we’re familiar with. While the track that leads to the high and lows may not always be the same, their nature is. We’ve learnt when to put the foot on the pedal and when to ease off, we have learnt the rhythm of the ride, and that its critical to take care of ourselves as best we can so that we can appreciate the journey. See! There are great advantages to getting older.
Which is what these blogs will be about. They’ll focus on what we’re doing, but also spend some time articulating why: Why is creativity important in old age? Who is it for? How does it happen? What’s good? What’s great? Is it just about individuals? How can it be useful at an organizational level? How is it evaluated and measured? Why is it growing now? Why does it inspire people and who are they?
It’s likely I will take detours and tangents. They often make for the best journeys and better stories. And this isn’t simply a rollercoaster trundling along on fixed rails, it’s an adventure, a leap into the blue, a life.
